BBQ Chicken Masala

Saucy Stories BBQ chicken masala served with naan, corn on the cob and salad

Simple. Divine. Bring bold flavour to your next barbecue with Momz Masala, Hot Date Chutney and a creamy yogurt marinade.

Ingredients

  • 4–5 chicken breasts, or 1 whole chicken cut into pieces
  • 1 jar Momz Masala
  • 1–2 scoops Hot Date Chutney, to taste
  • 1 cup yogurt of your choice
  • Cilantro and chillies, optional

Method

  1. Mix the Momz Masala, Hot Date Chutney and yogurt together. Add cilantro and chillies if using.
  2. Coat the chicken with the prepared marinade. Place in an airtight container and refrigerate overnight, preferably.
  3. Keep the chicken refrigerated while you prepare the barbecue or preheat the oven.
  4. Barbecue until thoroughly cooked. Alternatively, bake at 425°F (about 220°C), checking around 45 minutes. Cooking time varies with the size and cut of chicken; use a food thermometer to check that chicken pieces reach 74°C (165°F) in the thickest part, away from bone.

Serve with naan, extra Hot Date Chutney, corn on the cob and a lovely salad. Enjoy, and let us know how it turned out!
